Yesterday's project was to work on a stained glass effect - not a roaring success, but you learn by your mistakes, so not a total waste of time. Rather than using water soluble fabric it would be better using a felt base, probably black. I started outlining the 'lead' pieces then filled in with the colour. Thinking I had felted all the sections together the soluble fabric was rinsed away - this left holes where the wool had shrunk and not been felted densely enough. Working on a black base would have avoided the problem. Will know better next time.
