I'm running through all the different fabrics I have collected as bases for felting, and felting roving on its own into shapes. The vase is bought wool/viscose felt base with strips of coloured roving laid on. Flower heads are roving on its own felted into petals, then felted together. The stalks are strips of crystal organza, mixed green roving laid on then twisted, turned, scrunched under the needles until it resembles (vaguely) a stalk. A work in progress - will move onto leaves before assembling the whole lot onto a background. It won't be a masterpiece, but I want to use my experiments rather than toss them in the bin after playing around.
Will do some beading and embroidery practice as well.
