Turquoise and Rose

I had forgotten about this pieced top which has been hanging in the wardrobe for months. A trip to Scarborough Sewing Centre with Jenny last Friday enabled me to find a perfect pink for sashing and backing. It's difficult to see the small pink flowers on the turquoise in this photo, but the border fabric is just right. Here it is all done except for hand stitching the binding - maybe finish it off later in the week.

I've used a piece of Vilene Volume Fleece for the batting which has been laying around in my stash for some time. It machine quilted well, but polyester waddings have never been my favourite and it makes for a very light quilt - it will be warm though.
