I've just bought a new cutting mat from Creative Grids. My A1 Olfa mat, which I bought about 15 years ago for £45, is too big to comfortably take to quilt workshops and it is starting to crack along the edge. So I treated myself to a folding A1 as they are on half price, less than a tenner! I used it yesterday and it works fine. It's quite heavy, but will be a lot easier to transport.
The binding is machine stitched on the blue and yellow quilt and I'll be handstitching that when I've time. I'm not really enthusiastic about it and won't use recycled fabrics like this again. Some of them have polyester content and others are faded - lesson learnt!
