I made this baby quilt in anticipation of my Great Nephew's arrival - He arrived very early, but safely on 26th February 2008, at 8.30pm, weighing in at 2lbs 10ozs. Son of Mark and Kat. There's a photo of him on my Family blog.
A lovely quilt Lynne :) Congratulations on the arrival of your great nephew. I hope he soon catches up and makes good progress. An exciting but probaly worrying time for you all.
Thanks for the comments on the quilt. I can't take credit for it really - I found the co-ordinating fabrics at my local quilt shop and it was a case of straight sewing between the pre-printed blocks. It was nice to do something quick and easy for a change. Another Great Nephew is expected in a couple of months so quilt No 2 is almost complete as he could well be another early arrival. Baby Charlie is doing very well - still in hospital, but putting on weight and ticking all the right boxes. Can't wait to see him - no visitors allowed yet, only parents, Grandparents and Great Grandparents. Great GP's saw him yesterday and say he's gorgeous but so small.
Love the quilt, and you can take credit for it, you spotted the potential. LIke you I like to just make something sometimes without having to think too much about it:) The dog looks fun:)
