My son asked for 'a purple velvet bag' in which to place his girlfriend's 18th birthday gift. Not one for extravagant explanations, that was all I had to go on. Anyway, here it is - thanks to the embellisher, with a little help from the sewing machine all complete in around 30 minutes. Final touch was hot fixing some coloured crystals here and there. I could tell by his face he was well pleased. It would have been great if I could have found some purple, shimmery organza ribbon in my stash, but the white/silver doesn't look out of place.
